Growing up, I was typically bullied in class for being that little wimpy child everyone loves to hate. The more athletic guys used to look down on me for being the tiniest one in the classroom, and it gave me an inferiority complex. Thankfully this is no longer an issue for me and I am more confident with who and what I am, so I can write this to you today.

At the time, I knew I needed some way to defend myself, even if just in the small world of school bullying. So with determination in my head, I started to go to the gym eventually at the age of 17. However, I knew very little indeed about building muscles and not surprisingly, my results weren’t very impressive and I began to lose heart.

Though these issues have long been a struggle for me, I’ve made some new discoveries recently that I hope will change my life for the better. One of those bodybuilder types at the gym, I’m sure you know the type, told me about his passion for MMA. He explained that it helps to have a passion and focus in a sport of some kind to build upon. Unless you are passionate, you have no goal to work towards.

I have actually always been passionate about karate. I know I’m not the bulkiest guy around, but it’s a kind of art of self-defense and I took it up when I was young. My passion for karate impressed my bodybuilder friend at the gym. He informed me that, while he comes to the gym to build up his muscle strength and endurance, he actually built his impressive body up by doing 45 minutes of consistent workouts every weekday from the comfort of his own home.

High Intensity Workouts

I learned from my friend about a well known fighter called George St Pierre, or GSP, an MMA fighting champion who had a program called Rushfit. Deciding I needed to listen closely to my well-built friend, I looked into it and discovered it was a set of DVDs you can work out to from home.

George St Pierre, or GSP, is well known for using ‘explosive’ style training. This means he focuses on short bursts of high intensity workouts, such as sprinting and other sharp movements.

The point is that this Mixed Martial Arts body conditioning provides almost immediate results, because of the intensity. The program lasts for 8 weeks and you need to work on it 6 days a week, but it’s not as difficult as it sounds. Each round of exercises last only 45 minutes, and that’s the day done. The amount of work put in is something I suppose most people will be able to handle.

If you can keep at it for 2 months focusing on the high intensity George St Pierre workout, you too can have the body of an ultimate MMA fighter. While it’s inadvisable to take on George St Pierre in a fight, at least you’ll look the part.
